Martha Kelley Fare

WALKERTOWN-Martha Kelley Fare, 80, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 4, 1933 in Forsyth Co. to the late George Lee Kelley, Sr. and Elsie Peatross Kelley.

Martha was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church. Her friendships that she kindled with the women of the church were so deeply appreciated during her time of illness. Martha retired from First Union National Bank after many years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John William ""Pete"" Fare.

Surviving are her daughters, Alison Fare Ratley and husband, Chris, and Courtney Fare Bullard; three grandchildren, Tyler Bullard, Katie and Ben Ratley; and two brothers, Rush T. and Richard P. Kelley.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Lyons and Pastor Herb Mabe officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103, or Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, PO Box 57, Walkertown, NC 27051,or charity of donor's choice.
