Lewisville-Martha Agness Walker Dunsmore, 84, of Lewisville, loving mother and widow of Clyde O'Neil Dunsmore, Sr., passed away at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a short illness on Sunday, June 20, 2010. She was born May 22, 1926 in Wilmington, NC to Calvin Manaway Walker and Effie Burgess Walker. Her parents and brothers Henry, George, Baxter, Vick, and James Walker preceded her in death. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Teresa and Arthur Perry of Lewisville, SSG(R) Clyde O'Neil and Priscilla Dunsmore of Woodbridge, VA, Pamela and Charles Cregger of Lewisville, Ronald and Patricia Dunsmore of Clemmons, and Martha and Steven Cooper of Romance, AR; also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mae Walker of Fayetteville, NC, sister-in-law, Belva Walton of Knoxville, TN, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Everette and Ruth Dunsmore of Knoxville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated and loyal Avon representative for forty-six years and an avid bowler for more than forty years. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship of Unity Moravian Church and she enjoyed baking pies and cakes to share with friends and family. The viewing of Mrs. Dunsmore will occur at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 23 at Unity Moravian Church, 8300 Concord Church Road, Lewisville, NC 27023. The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in the Church graveyard. The Rev. Stuart Zimmerman will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Unity Moravian Church. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Intensive Care Unit of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for its care and support during their mother's illness. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Dunsmore Family.
