Martha Elaine Hauser Brewer

BREWER RURAL HALL - Surrounded by her family and loving friends, Mrs. Martha Elaine Hauser Brewer, age 66, of Rural Hall went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Martha was born in Forsyth County June 22, 1944 to the late Wiley Everett and late Jessie Elizabeth Morgan Hauser. Martha graduated from Mineral Springs High School where she played varsity basketball for four years. After high school, Martha attended Forsyth Tech Nursing School and was later employed at Baptist Hospital for eighteen years. Martha was a very active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall. She was the past President of the Nazareth Lutheran Counsel and also past President of the Nazareth Lutheran Church Women's Group. She taught Sunday School, Bible School and was always willing to help others. Martha was truly a lady with a heart of gold and very compassionate friend to everyone. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Bruce Brewer of the home; one daughter, Tanya Ruhmann and son-in-law, Mark Ruhmann of Rural Hall; one son, Keith Brewer and daughter-in-law, Michelle Brewer of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Nicole and Madison Ruhmann; one aunt, Virginia Morgan of Winston-Salem; and was much loved by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall with the Rev. Stacie Loizeaux and the Rev. Dr. Donald Herb officiating.
