Martha Box

Mrs. Martha Ann Box, 66, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in her home.  She was born September 26, 1953 in Forsyth County to the late Paul “Fuzzy” Ayers and Nancy Freeman.  Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all.  She especially loved her friends from Northside Lanes Bowling Alley, who in her mind had become a part of her family.  Martha touched a lot of people’s lives both in person and through social media with her testimony.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul E. Ayers and John T. Ayers.  Martha is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Hugh Box; son, Jason Sherrill; two step-children, Paul Douglas Box and Mindy Elizabeth Box-Taylor; two grandchildren, Sarah Elayne Sherrill and Savannah Grace Sherrill; two nephews, Jason Ayers (Lisa) and Ryan Ayers; three nieces: Christy Ayers, Amy Ayers, and Holly Shelton (Justin); and two brothers, Eric Freeman and Tim Freeman.  A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 4th at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC with Pastor Gary Styers officiating.
