Martha Ann Pardue Parrish

On July 1, 2024, Martha Ann (Pardue) Parrish entered into The Everlasting Arms of her Lord and Savior.

She was born Martha Ann Pardue on January 18, 1932, to Rober and Della (Whitehart) Pardue in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Living her entire life in Forsyth County, Martha grew up and went to school in Winston-Salem graduating from Gray High School. She married her high school sweetheart, William Jackson (Jack) Parrish, who precedes her in death. They raised their family and lived much of their life together in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Martha was a homemaker and mother to their two children. Over the years she worked part-time as a secretary and ended her working days driving a school bus for children with special needs. Martha worshipped with the Christians at Sedge Garden Chapel. In her retirement years, she enjoyed being a leader in the Bible Study Fellowship group in Winston- Salem. She also hosted neighborhood Bible studies in her home.

During the last years of Martha’s life she received excellent and compassionate care at the Pittsboro Christian Village Care Home for which the family is eternally grateful. The family wishes to express thanks to Liberty Hospice Care who provided additional care.

Martha is survived by her children, Randall J. Parrish and his wife Joanne of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Jane Parrish of Rockport, Massachusetts. Also surviving are grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a beloved nephew and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Rober L Pardue; and sister, Arlinda Pardue Gordon.
