Martha Walls Adair

Mrs. Martha Walls Adair, 89, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.  She was born in Roane County, W. VA on October 16, 1933, to the late John Lewis and Ida Hunt Walls.  Mrs. Adair had lived in W. Va, Ohio, NC, Maryland, and Texas.  She deeply loved her family.  Mrs. Adair enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing for her family and friends.  Preceding her in death were two brothers, Sylvester and William Walls and three sisters, Hester Whitsett, Jean Strupper, and Katie Lee.  Surviving is her loving husband of 70 years, Bill Adair; daughter, Carol Adair; son, Scott Adair (Amy); also surviving are several nieces and nephews.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Mendenhall officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.  The family will have a private entombment at Forsyth Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Rd. Lewisville, NC 27023.
