Marshall Stevens

Mr. Marshall Stevens, 87, passed away March 29, 2019.  He was born December 15, 1931 to the late Nick Stevens and Hildred Young Stevens.  Mr. Stevens was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville.  Throughout his entire career, he was a used car dealer and he was always willing to take care of one’s need. He enjoyed attending all of his “Grands” sporting events, where he was their #1 fan.  Sometimes you could hear him finagling with the “Refs”.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Martha Thelma Martin Stevens; four brothers; Winford, Ronnie, Elwood, and Nick Stevens; one sister, Ruth George.  He is survived by his son, Mike Stevens (Tiana) of Rural Hall; daughter, Robin Tuttle (Brian) of Rural Hall; three grandchildren; Kristin Martin (Gregg) of Pinnacle, Jonathan Stevens (Michela) of King, and Lauren Tuttle of Rural Hall; five great-grandchildren; Carson Stevens, Colton Martin, Cobey Martin, Silas and Maggie Stevens; three brothers, Harry Stevens (Dot), Lowell Stevens, and Edward Stevens (Shirley).  A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 Monday, April 1, 2019 at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt and Pastor T. Welch Officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at First Baptist Church Family Life Center.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Road, Winston-Salem, NC  27105. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers, and special friends who Helped take care of Mr. Stevens.
