Marshall Ledford Smith

Colfax - Marshall Ledford Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born November 11, 1934 in Stokes Co. to the late Austin N. and Margaret McGee Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Austin Smith. Surviving are his loving companion and sweetheart of 28 years, Anna Sapp; children, Teresa Smith, Dana Sexton and husband, Bobby, Heather Hilton (Darrin Poirier), Phyllis Wilson and husband, Don, Joy Lennartz and husband, Jay; grandchildren, Krysta Nicole Sexton, Austin Tanner Sexton, Aubrey Renee Hilton, Bryson Clark Hilton, Tonya Brewster (Dennis Wringler), Lindsay Marie Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Chase Lennartz and Summer Lennartz; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Brewster and Haleigh Brewster; and one brother, Sidney Levon Smith and wife, Linda. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Chaplain Rennie Adcock officiating. A private Graveside Service will be conducted following the service at Floral Garden Memoral Park in High Point. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
