Marsha Hamlin

Kernersville – Mrs. Marsha Vernae White Hamlin, 61, passed away March 12, 2023, peacefully at her home. Marsha was born December 1, 1961, in Guilford County to the late Haggie White and Frances Tilley White. She was a CNA for 30 years, loved music, had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She loved her grandkids and soap operas. Marsha was an independent woman who was determined in many things but loved everyone, especially her LORD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Joe White.

Left to cherish her memory are, her loving husband of 18 years, Jeffrey Hamlin, one son, Sammy Joe Duggins (Patricia) of Kernersville, a bonus daughter, Christie White of Lexington, three sisters, Sadie Goad of Walkertown, Vickie Jenkins of Greensboro, and Ann Koontz of Tyro, three brothers, Jerry White of Lewisville, Jesse White of Summerfield and Phillip White of Kernersville, three grandchildren; Clarence “Boogie” Duggins, Abigail Duggins, and Ethan Duggins, Bonus grandchildren, Zoe, Cameron, Natalei, and Jesse, one great granddaughter, Arabella, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 17th, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Walnut Cove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
