WINSTON-SALEM - Markus Ledergerber, 48, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, in Lexington. Markus was born July 11, 1963, in Emanuel County, Georgia, to Lea Alexander Hinson and the late Karl Ledergerber. His fun-loving personality made him a great asset to the many positions he previously held with Disney World in Florida. Mr. Ledergerber had dual citizenship in Switzerland and the United States and was a member of the Tall Club International. His genuine love for people and ability to make everyone smile made him a joy to be around and an inspiration to all he met! Surviving are his wife, Mary Vanderhoof Ledergerber, of the home; a son, Brooks David Karl Ledergerber; his mother and step father, Bruce Hinson, of East Dublin, GA; two step brothers, Michael Hinson and Allan Hinson; and many special relatives in Switzerland. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 5:30 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Larry Forshee officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be in Wadley Cemetery, in Georgia, Friday, February 17, at 3:00 pm.
