Mark Craig Whitlow

Las Vegas-Mark Craig Whitlow, 45, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2009. He was born July 21, 1964 in Minot, ND to Sidney Marshall and Janet Bowling Whitlow. Mark was a member of Grace Baptist Church and had graduated from Variety School in 1982 in Las Vegas. He enjoyed being in the Special Olympics and loved to go fishing with his dad. Mark was loved by his aunts, uncles, and family. He touched the hearts of everyone that got to know him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul C. Bowling; his paternal grandfather, Sidney R. Whitlow; three uncles, Larry Bowling, David Bowling, and Stephen Whitlow. Surviving are his parents, Sidney M. Whitlow of Las Vegas and Janet Whitlow of Kernersville; his sister ""Best Friend"", Cindy Davis, and John Golden of Walnut Cove; maternal grandmother, Gladys Bowling of Walkertown; paternal grandmother, Doris Whitlow of Princeton, WV; nieces, Krista D'Angelo, and Heather Davis; great-niece, Kaylee Hayden all of Walnut Cove; special friends, Patti Ryan and Cindy Hummer of Las Vegas and the staff at DRC. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Johnny Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Friday, October 23, 2009 at the funeral home.
