Mark Alan Snipes, 62, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Mark was born in Winston-Salem on July 26, 1959, to Robert C. and Ann H. Snipes. After graduating from East Forsyth High School and Forsyth Tech he spent over thirty years working in the telephone industry for Western Electric, BellSouth, and AT&T before retiring in 2012. Mark enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, shooting guns, and hosting a fish fry for family and friends. He was always up for telling a joke and was always friendly with those he met. Everyone that knew him could expect a good laugh when he was around. Mark was a member of Friedland Moravian Church where he enjoyed serving as an usher.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Snipes. He is survived by his mother Ann H. Snipes, son Jayson, daughter Amber Sheek (Jake), future grandson Harrison, siblings Marianne Smith (Tim) and Bryan Snipes (Karen), several nieces and nephews, and special friend Linda Long. A celebration of his life will be held at Friedland Moravian Church on Saturday, October 30, at 1 PM with Revs. John G. Rights and Adam Goodrich presiding. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Friedland Moravian Church, 2750 Friedland Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, and to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, 27103.
