Mark Christopher Hughes

Mr. Mark Christopher Hughes, 35, of Lewisville passed away March 18, 2010. He was born August 26, 1974 in Forsyth County to Buel and Sue Hughes. Mark was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church and a graduate of West Forsyth High School class of 1992. He loved soccer and was an avid hockey fan having played for 8 years with the Winston-Salem Youth Hockey League. He was a very loving and kind spirited person that will be missed by all. Mark is survived by his parents, Buel and Sue Hughes of Lewisville; a sister, Tara Hughes Barr and husband Denny of Pilot Mountain; a niece and nephews, Jesse Alayna Barr, Wesley Hayes Barr, and Noah Christopher Barr; his grandmother, Virginia Hughes of Richmond, VA; three aunts, Vickie Mattox of Richmond, VA, Shannon Colby of Chesapeake, VA, and Louise Ballard of Pfafftown, NC; an uncle, James Sheets of Salisbury, NC. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Lewisville Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Hutchins and the Rev. Les Puryear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.The family would like to give a special thanks and love to Mark's caregivers, Laura Wilson, Gary Hutchins, Don Heintz, and Nurse Lawanna.
