Mark Stevens Holyfield

Mr. Mark Stevens Holyfield, 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 3, 2017.

Mark was born March 2, 1955 in Stokes County to the late Jesse and Louise Holyfield. Always known as the life of the party, Mark enjoyed listening to and dancing to beach music. He loved to watch his grandson, Brydon, play football, basketball, and baseball and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Above all, Mark loved his family and will be deeply missed. Mark was preceded in death by his son, Zachary Manuel Holyfield, his parents, and brothers, David Holyfield, Paul Holyfield, and Jesse Holyfield, Jr.

Mark is survived by his wife, Marybeth Young Holyfield; son, Brent Holyfield and fiancée China Pegram; daughter, Tiffany Bridges and husband Cory; grandchildren, Brydon Stevens Holyfield, Ryker Manuel Holyfield, and Madelyn Marie Bridges; sisters, Sarah Shelton and husband Frank and Becky Rash and husband Alan; brother, Jimmie Holyfield and wife Joan; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12 noon at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
