Mark Griffith

On Monday, July 18, 2022, Mark Richard Griffith passed away In the comfort of his home in the loving presence of his children and a few close friends. Mark was 53 years old.

Mark was born April 30, 1969, in Baltimore City, Maryland. He proudly attended Penn State University, where he made many lifelong friends. After Penn State, he attended North Side and that’s where he met the love of his life, Tara Brooks.  They married in York County, Pennsylvania on May 8th, 1999, and had two children, Carly and Connor, who they both loved immensely.

Mark was always the biggest smile in a room.  His positive energy was larger than life and radiated to those around him. We will all remember his contagious laugh and “Markisms”.  He loved music and listening to it while sitting by the fire in the back yard.

He was an employee of FedEx for most of his career, followed by Carolina North of Kernersville for the past several years.

We all celebrate knowing that Mark is now reunited with Tara, his beautiful wife. He is predeceased by his wife Tara Brooks and mother Jean Ake. Mark is survived Carly and Connor Griffith of the home, sister-in-law Erin, brother-in-law Jeff, Jim Ake, and Galen Griffith countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and close friends.  We are all left at a great loss.

We all love you, Mark – mean it!

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome to pay their respects.  This will be at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donations towards Connor and Carly’s future college expenses.
