Mark Alan Emory

Mark Alan Emory, 55, of Advance, NC, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born June 13, 1958 to Thomas L. Emory, Sr. and the late Daisy Porter Emory. Mark attended East Coast Bible College and was the Pastor of Peace Haven Church of God. He was a faithful minister in the Church of God and an avid musician. Mark was the Licensed Owner and Operator of Executive Barber and Style Shop in Advance. His passion and love in his life was to be with his family and dote on his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by a brother; Curtis Shayne Emory. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife; Ruth A. Emory of the home, a son; Brandon Emory and wife, Valerie of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren; Layla Yvette Emory and Trent Lain Emory, his father, Thomas L. Emory, Sr., Oakland, Georgia, a brother; Tommy Emory and wife, Sheryl of Kernersville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Parkview Church of God officiated by Rev. Kenneth Looney and Rev. John M. Loudermilk. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Memorial Gardens of Memory. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Peace Haven Church of God, 525 N.
