Mark Paul Bodford

Mark Paul Bodford, 67, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born on December 26, 1957, in Forsyth County, NC to Howard and Betty Cline Bodford. Mark grew up loving animals, studying herpetology, and was active in Boy Scouts and received the God & Country award. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and worked in real estate in Wilmington, NC for over 35 years. Mark had a fun, loving personality with everyone. He loved his family and friends, enjoyed the beach, was athletic, and loved the UNC Tar Heels. Preceding him in death was his father, Howard Bodford and a nephew, Kyle Bodford. Surviving is his daughter, Carraway Lee Bodford; mother, Betty Bodford; two sisters, Melanie Moser (Alex) and Cheryl Logan (Ed); brother, Allen Bodford; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and the mother of his daughter, Meredith Jones. A private memorial service will be held for the family. A future celebration of life service for all his friends will be held at a later date in Wilmington, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the American Cancer Society.
