Marjorie Elizabeth Jones Frye

LEWISVILLE - Mrs. Marjorie Elizabeth Jones Frye, 83 of Lewisville, a very loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Kate b. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 14, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Paul Edward and Sarah Jane Elizabeth Harper Jones. She was a life-long member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. On April 5, 1947, she was married to Joseph Allen Frye, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2010. Also preceding her were her parents; two sisters, Pauline Tate and Leona Hundley. Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Hartman and husband Ronnie of Lexington, Elizabeth Ann Frye of Lewisville and Kathy Taylor and husband Randy of Lewisville; two grandchildren, Jennifer Greenwood and husband Andy of Pembrook Pines, FL and Christopher Taylor of Lewisville; one great-grandson, Winston Greenwood; two sisters, Frances Foltz and husband Archie, and Barbara Wilmoth both of Winston-Salem; one brother-in-law, Monroe P. Frye and wife Hazel of Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Greg Freeman. Mrs. Frye will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone at Hospice for all the love and care that was given to our mother. The family also wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at The Oaks at Forsyth and especially to Shawanda and Kay for the kindness, love and care they provided our mother.
