Mrs. Marion “Anne” Lowdermilk McBride, age 67 of Lewisville, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1953 in Rutherford County. She is proceeded in death by her parents Frank Howard Lowdermilk, Sr. and Doris Azaleen Kirby Lowdermilk & a brother Frank H. Lowdermilk Jr. She is survived by her husband, Edward “Eddie” McBride, Jr.; one son, William Frank McBride (Ashley Alexander McBride); two grandsons, Alex and Thatcher; one sister, Jayne Lowdermilk Spaugh (David); one nephew Jacob Spaugh (Brooke) and two nieces Emily Blodinger (Jake) and Kalli Hicks (Chase). She retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after working 28+ years in the Emergency Room, ICU and Outpatient Surgery departments. She received several honors during her career such as, the “Excellence in Nursing” award in 1994; created the nursing motto for Baptist Hospital - “Patient Satisfaction through Nursing Action”; and she was also one of the key contributors to designing the current Baptist Hospital Emergency Room. After retirement, she filled her time with her beloved grandsons, knitting and various craftwork, and of course “doodling”. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church where she played the flute in the orchestra. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
