Marie "Pat" Chappell

Mrs. Marie “Pat” Crocker Chappell, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away at her residence on Monday, January 4, 2021.  Pat was born in New Hanover County, NC on February 4, 1935, to the late James Henry Crocker, Sr. and Gertrude Johnson Crocker.  Pat was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and retired from Krispy Kreme.  In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brothers, James H. Crocker, Jr. and Ronald L. Crocker; one sister, Helen South; one stepson, Donald Chappell and one great-grandchild.  She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Chappell; son, Michael Daniels (Patsy); one stepson, Ronald Chappell (Cynthia) and one daughter-in-law, Diana Chappell; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Simmons and Gail Bolling; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A private entombment service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will have a public memorial service at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Rosemont Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Reed officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Rosemont Baptist Church Food Pantry, 415 West Clemmonsville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Chappell.
