Marien Smith Miller

Mrs. Marien Smith Miller, 76, passed away December 15, 2023, at Kerner Ridge. She was born November 20, 1947, in Surry County to the late Roger and Louise Smith. She retired from the US Postal Service after many years of service. When she was able, she attended Gospel Light Baptist Church. She cherished her mother. Marien had a passion with raising and riding horses. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, especially Conway Twitty and dancing. She is survived by her stepfather, Dennis Lawson; stepbrother, Frank Lawson (Pollie), and special friend, Frances Hudson. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Greg Hall officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
