Marie Sirohman

Marie Edwards Sirohman, 82, of King, NC passed away April 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born July 2, 1936 in Davie County to the late Eugene and Ethel Priddy.  Mrs. Sirohman was preceded in death by her late husband of 37 years, John E. Sirohman; first husband of 26 years, Coy H. Edwards; and two sons, Danny and Ronnie Edwards.  She is survived by one son, Bro. Bob Edwards and wife, Judy of East Bend; two daughters, Peggy Marshall and husband, Jerry of Pinnacle and Rebecca Secord of British Columbia; brother, Harold Priddy and wife, Betty of Rural Hall.  She was called “Granny” by her eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Sirohman attended Freedom Baptist Church of Rural Hall along with John, where they were faithful members for seventeen years.  Her strong faith gave her enough love for all.  A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 24, at Freedom Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon White and the Rev. J. T. Byerly officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Pinnacle.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, April 23, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
