Marie Elena Mason

Kernersville- Marie Elena Norman Mason, 67, died on February 6, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center. Marie was born on October 18, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late Hyatt and Helen Williard Norman. She retired from RJ Reynolds after 30 years of service, was a member of Glenn View Baptist Church and Rachel's Garden UM Women's Group. Marie was a loving wife, mother, nana and sister. She loved playing Rook with her ""Rook"" buddies and was an avid golfer. One of Marie's favorite quotes was ""God is still driving!"" She is survived by her husband, Toby, of the home; two daughters, Debbie (husband, Tommy) Sears and Angie Mahaffey, both of Winston-Salem; two grand children, Emilee Sears and Justin Mahaffey; one brother, Wayne (wife, Barbara) Norman of Kernersville; and ‘sis', Barbara Berry, also of Kernersville. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Glenn View Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Gupton and Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall, where the family will also receive friends.
