Frances Marie Lovette Kirby, 85, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Kirby was born in Wilkes County to the late William and Nancy Mitchelle Lovette on April 20, 1924. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church for over 60 years. She loved working in her flowers and loved traveling with her family. She will be missed by her favorite companion her little kitty cat Cuddles. Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Kirby;two brothers, Clayton and James Lovette and one sister, Annie Lee Wagoner. She is survived by her daughter Jeanette Aldridge and husband Tommy; a sister Pauline Shelton; five nieces Barbara Aldridge, Loretta Sigmon, Teri Cartrette, and Nora Naylor; three nephews, Keith Lovette, Gordon Lovette, and Clay Shelton; and a special thanks for all of the loving care provided by a special friend Deborah Jackson. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Northwest Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Hudson and Rev. Ellen Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church. In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Northwest Baptist Church, 407 Petree Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
