Marie Stokes Hauser

Mrs. Marie Stokes Hauser, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at her home. She was born February 27, 1928 in Rowan County to Moses Marshall and Mottie Trexler Stokes. Mrs. Hauser was a loving mother and grandmother. She retired from Woolworths after many years of faithful service. She loved gardening and her church. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Clemmons Church of God. She had many friends and good neighbors. Mrs. Hauser was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Thompson and Frank Hauser; her daughter, Judy Gautier; and a stepson, Ronnie Hauser. Surviving are two sons, Steven Thompson (Myra) and Tony Thompson (Kelly); a daughter-in-law, Martha Hauser, all of Clemmons; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Holshouser and Edith McIntyre; and a brother, Marshall Stokes, all of Rockwell, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Bishop F.D. Vaught and Dr. Joe Long officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons Church of God, P.O.
