Marie Long Cundiff

Mrs. Marie Long Cundiff, 78, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1932 in Forsyth County to William Frank and Ruth Swaim Long. Mrs. Cundiff was employed with McLean Trucking Company and Swaim Ornamental Iron. She has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold David Cundiff; two brothers, Jack and Grady; and a sister, Dorothy Goin. Surviving are two daughters, Gina Cocklereece and husband John of Winston-Salem and Pam Ashworth of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, June Hicks; three grandchildren, Ivy Cocklereece, Stephanie Ashworth, and Jay Ashworth; a special niece, Pat Holden of Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 11th at Brookridge Retirement Home with Chaplain Maurice Briggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Derrik L.
