Marie Holden Crater

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Marie Holden Crater, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Marie was born on April 11, 1943 in Forsyth County to Elmer Harold and Pamelia Pierce Holden. Marie was a member of Triad Baptist Church and worked for AT & T for many years. She also enjoyed teaching line dance classes.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Holden. She is survived by her husband, Larry Crater; her mother, Pamelia Holden; four children, Donnie Martin (Tonya), Rodney Martin, Pam Long (Phillip) and Mary Jo Annas (Jonathan); one step-daughter, Angela Campbell; 15 grandchildren, Terica, Spencer, Anna, Rodney Jr., Cale, Zachary, Nathaniel, Heather, Cameron, Holly, Corbin, Faith, Hunter, Caroline and Cori; five great grandchildren,; one brother, Harold Holden (Delphus) and one sister, JoAnn Brown (John).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Triad Baptist Church with Dr. Rob Decker officiating. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Triad Baptist Church, 1175 South Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
