Mrs. Marie Conrad, 95, of Lewisville, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Home. She was born August 2, 1916 in Kanawha County, WV, the daughter of the late, Bert and Myrtle White Woods. Mrs. Conrad was a member of Woodland Baptist Church where she was a member of The Faithfull Followers Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Trevie Cavender; her second husband, Eugene Conrad; one grandson, John Cavender; one sister and five brothers. Survivors include two sons, Trevie Cavender, Jr and wife, Ethelyne of Rural Hall and Jack Cavender of Lewisville; two daughters, Etta Lou Wilson of Winston-Salem and Betty Sue Melvin and husband, Don of King; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Webb Woods and wife, Mildred of FL and Curt Woods and wife, Betty Lou of WV. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
