Marianne Goebel

Kernersville - Mrs. Marianne Goebel, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Kernersville Medical Center. Marianne was born on May 8th, 1928 in Cleveland, OH to John James, Sr. and Freda Peters Harmonic. She attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons, NC and was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 9010 where she and her husband, Tony enjoyed playing Bingo. Marianne was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed watching murder mysteries and loved trivia. She always enjoyed watching entertainment award shows and was an avid fan of the golden age of Hollywood. Marianne also loved going flying with her husband.

In addition to her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her two brothers, John James, Jr. "Jack" Harmonic and Robert "Bob" Harmonic. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Anthony Henry "Tony" Goebel; three children, Robert Anthony Goebel, Anthony John Goebel, and Susan Goebel Bowman; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Marianne will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek location. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post 9010 at 4615 Hampton Road, Clemmons, NC 27012. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
