Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Vaden Holleman, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 26, 2024, at Clemmons Village I assisted living/memory care facility in Clemmons, NC.
Marian was born to the late William and Zepher Williams Vaden on October 10, 1930, in Forsyth County, NC.
A long-time resident of Winston-Salem, Marian worked as a secretary at the Forsyth County Health Department in the 1950s and later as the church secretary at South Fork Baptist Church from 1967 until she retired in 2007. She loved her family, her church, and most of all her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Henry G. Holleman; son, Randy Holleman; and three sisters, Margaret Kiger, Louise Shadrick, and Virginia Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Henry Holleman, Jr. and wife, Sherrie of Rural Hall, NC; daughter, Susan Kennedy and husband, Bruce of Harrisburg, NC; five grandsons, Henry Holleman III of Rural Hall, Carl Holleman and Aaron Holleman of Winston-Salem, Asa Holleman and wife, Elizabeth of Culpeper, VA, and Jared Kennedy of Kingwood, TX; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, Madison, Charlotte, and Mateo Holleman of Culpeper, VA; two nephews, Wayne Shadrick and wife, Julia of Wingate, NC and Jack Miller, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Calabash, NC; and one niece, Brenda Holder and husband, Jerry of China Grove, NC.
Marian's family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the wonderful staff of Clemmons Village, where she received excellent, loving care during her final months.
A private family burial will take place at Waughtown Cemetery at a later date.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Holleman family.
