Marian Lee Weatherman Little

Marian Lee Weatherman Little of Belews Creek passed away Sunday, June 9, 2012. She was born on March 15, 1923 to Watt and Minnie Weatherman. She was married to Claude Little who predeceased her in 1975. Marion graduated from Wallburg High School and Forsyth Technical Community College. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Medical Park Hospital, Brookridge Retirement Home, Walnut Cove Healthcare, and the Private Nursing Registry. She retired three times before surrendering her nursing license for the profession that she loved and served with integrity and pride. A woman who was known for her independence and outspoken opinions, Marian was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving are her three sons Michael Skarzynski and wife Donna of Walkertown; Christopher Skarzynski and wife Linda of Lewisville; Edward Skarzynski and wife Lucinda of Winston-Salem. Her grandchildren are Erik Skarzynski, Sean Skarzynski, Adrienne Beauchamp, and Gwyn Berrier and great-grandchildren are Zach Berrier, Will Beauchamp, Hunter Skarzynski, and Maggie Beauchamp. She will be missed by all of them. The family expresses their gratitude to the nursing staff in the ICU, CCU, and Palliative Care at NC Baptist Hospital. Your care and compassion made this difficult time a little easier for all of us. A memorial service will be held at Belews Creek Christian Church at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 13th with the Rev. Larry Neal officiating. The family will receive friends at the church directly after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Services or to a charity of the donor's choice.
