Maria Tsatsaronis

Maria Tsatsaronis, 91, fell asleep on February 1st, 2015. She was born on April 10, 1924 in Viniani, Evrytanias, Greece. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charalambos. She is survived by her daughter Penelope Ballas and husband Johnny; her son Gus Tsatsaronis and wife Litsa.She is also survived by grandchildren: Georgia Barlas and husband Peter, Maria Ballas, Sammy Ballas and wife Spirithoula, Maria Tsatsaronis, Bobby Tsatsaronis and Pelagia Tsatsaronis. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Giannis Barlas, Constantine Barlas and Victoria Barlas.
Maria was one of 3 children. She was preceded in death by her sister Eleni Marouli. She is survived by her brother, Fr. Demetrios Kanteres. ""Yiayia"" Maria was always a very lively person who always enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Her smile brightened up the room and her laughter was contagious. She loved to sing and dance, and everyone around her could not help but join in every time. She was a vibrant, loving, funny, and all-around wonderful woman. The family will receive friends and family at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27104 on Monday, February 2nd, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 2:00pm, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
