Maria Irizarry

Ms. Maria Luisa Irizarry, 66, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 7, 1953, to the late Marcelo and Maria Figueroa Irizarry. Ms. Irizarry was a devout Catholic and spent her life as a people’s advocate. She worked as a senior counselor for Catholic Charities. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Jack Monell (Angela) and Jason Gonzales; and five grandsons: Julian, Jaxon, Jay-Quon, Noah, and Grayson. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
