Margie Reid Willard

Mrs. Margie Reid Willard, 82, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 6, 1927 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Willis and Dolly Myers Reid. Mrs. Willard was a member of Bethlehem Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Willard, three brothers, Frank Reid, Paul Reid and Donald Reid and one sister, Allene Sealey. Survivors include one son, Donald Willard and wife, Sharon of Napanee, Ontario; one daughter, Diane Bowen and husband Randy of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Catherine Bauder and husband Justin, and Danielle Willard of Kingston, Ontario, Melanie Bowen, and Michael Bowen and wife Rebecca of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Jim Reid of Charlotte and Leroy Reid of Winston-Salem and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Wayne Byerly and Rev. Aaron Long officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM.
