Margie Cates Sale

Mrs. Margie Virginia Cates Sale, 88, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Village Care of King. She was born April 13, 1922 the daughter of the late Charlie Edward Cates and Lula Pauline Pinnix Cates. Mrs. Sale was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Sale Jr., a son, Kenneth L. Sale, a son-in-law, Thomas ""Buster"" Hutchins Jr., a great-grandson, Joshua J. Ferris, three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Sale is survived by two daughters, Wanda S. Wood and husband Sammy of Tobaccoville and Cynthia Hutchins of Winston-Salem, a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Sale of Lexington, five grandchildren, Rev. Samuel C. Wood, Tamara W. Watts, Crystal S. Schlitts, Lisa S. White and Stephanie Ferris, six great-grandchildren, Matthew, David, Justin, John, Victoria and Michael, three sisters, Dorothy Trivette, Helen Evans and Mary Jean Giles and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A private service will be conducted Monday, October 11, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Roy Leon Wood and Rev. Samuel C. Wood officiating. She will be intered at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to: Village Care Resident Council Fund, 440 Ingram Rd., King, NC 27021. The family would like to send a special thank you to the entire staff of Village Care of King and especially to the wonderful nurses and CNA's that gave such wonderful care of Mrs. Sale.
