Margie McGhee Norris

Kernersville - Mrs. Margie McGhee Norris, 84, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Trinity Glen Nursing Home. She was born June 14, 1931 to the late Willie Jo Cameron McGhee and Boyd Clayton McGhee. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who spent many years devoted to her loving family. Margie was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church. She was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Linwood Norris, Sr, a son, Lenny, and her brother, Tyson Mcghee.

Surviving are; one son, Richard Norris and wife Taina, daughter-in-law, Donna Norris, three grandsons Cameron, Michael , and Sam Norris, one great-granddaughter, Marilyn Norris, two sisters-in-law, Verona Altman, Peggy Cawthon, one brother-in-law, Johnny Norris and wife Laura. The family would like to express their special thanks to the nursing staff of Trinity Glen Nursing Home for their loving care.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:30 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Richard Hicks and Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
