Margie Allene New

Mrs. Margie Allene New, 85, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 26, 1924 in Stokesdale, the daughter of the late Johnny and Prudie Lake James. Mrs. New was retired from Royal Cake Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel S. New. Survivors include one son, James D. New of Winston-Salem; three daughters, Frances Brinkley and husband, Tom of King, Linda Dotson and husband, Curtis of Winston-Salem and Bonnie Bowman and husband, Ronnie of Kernersville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Grubbs of Walkertown, Peggy McGee and husband, Ronald and Jo Ann Knight of Kernersville. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Avery Varnadore officiating with entombment following.
