MOORE - WINSTON-SALEM Mrs. Margie McGee Moore, 89, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Stokes County to the late Mamie N. McGee and Oscar C. McGee. She was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church and attended as often as possible while in good health. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, James F. Moore in 1999; two grandsons, Kevin McGuire and David McDowell; and also, three brothers: Clarence, Raymond and Lewis. Surviving are her three daughters and their husbands: Helen and Jim McGuire, Barbara and Sonny Woodbury, Brenda and Don Brannock; three grandchildren: Sandra Harris, Deborah Fuller and Russ Brannock; five great-grandchildren: Devin and Weston Harris, Vivian and Stephanie Fuller, and Matthew Brannock; one sister, Dorothy M. Needham; and several very special friends. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Dr. J.B. Stamey and the Rev. Brian Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to: Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family greatly appreciates the kindness and care given to their mother by the doctors and nurses at the home as well as at the Palliative Care Unit of Forsyth Medical Center.
