Margie Belle Johnson

Johnson Mrs. Margie Belle Johnson, age 81, wife of Mr. Larry Joe Johnson, of King, NC, passed away Friday evening at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Mt. Airy, NC. Mrs. Johnson was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late R.S. and Sally Alley Dameron. She was a retired employee of the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC for over forty years. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Broadway. Surviving is her husband: Larry Joe Johnson, four daughters and sons-in-law: Lorene and Tommy Petrovich, Candy and Rex Hayes, Nancy Davis, and Susan and Henry Chambers. Twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Three brothers: Ivan Dameron, Bueal Dameron, and Kenneth Dameron. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by Two sisters: Jean Shavers, Irene Felts and three brothers: Glenn, Robert, and Bill Dameron. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday June 2, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC by Pastor Kevin Broyhill. Graveside services will be conducted at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC. The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm before the funeral services. The family wishes to thank the Woltz Hospice home, Mountain Valley Assisted Living, Golden Living Nursing Home and Tina Leonard for their compassionate care..
