Mrs. Margie Leona Guy Hilton passed away at her home on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Mrs. Hilton was born in Forsyth County to John and Laura Jenkins Guy on February 27, 1916. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed playing piano, painting and drawing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hilton; and a son, Joseph Doyle Hilton. Surviving to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Betty Childress and Wanda Norman (Donnie); a sister, Frances Edwards; six grandchildren, Terry Linderer (Doug), Alice Sholar, Marjorie D'Andrea, David Norman, Danny Norman, and Angela Hilton; five great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Mr. Tom Nussbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103; or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27929.
