Mrs. Margie Smith Hendrix, 98, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at her home. She was born June 17, 1912 in Davie County to John Henry and Nola Ward Smith. She was a lifelong member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Clarence Hendrix and a son Harry Francis Hendrix. Surviving are a daughter, Patsy Smith (Yoman) of Advance; five grandchildren, Pam Smith (Terry) of Advance, Dean Williard of Advance, Sherry McCulloh (Lee) of Mocksville, Lynn Hall (Clyde) of Warrington,Va.and Patrick Williard (Christy) of Greensboro; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m., Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m.Tuesday at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Hospice for their love and support.
