Margaret Louise 'Margie' Crump Williams

KERNERSVILLE - Margaret Louise (Margie) Crump Williams, 77, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away Friday, January 04, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 2, 1935 in Mecklenburg Co. to the late Martin Luther and Addie Lee Burnett Crump. Margie was a member of Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville. She worked as a salad bar and short order cook for 30 years at various establishments in Greensboro, Kernersville, and Winston Salem. Margie was very active in Girl Scouts as a grandmother chairman and loved sports. In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her three brothers, Rev. Martin Lee Crump, Alexander Crump, Vance Kellough Crump. She leaves behind her cherished children, Art Williams and wife, Pat, Joanna Poole and husband, James, Bobby Williams and wife, Betsy; grandchildren, Tammy Renae Lowe, Jennifer Laye, Sarah Williams, Ashley Williams; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Clara Crump, Evelyn Crump; a special nephew, Michael Alexander Crump; and numerous friends and co-workers. A Funeral Service will be conducted on 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Rob Decker officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
