Robbin Wilder, age 61, conquered many battles in life, but lost her final battle to sickness. Robbin was taken home to be with our Lord on January 5, 2016. God gave Robbin peace in a time of need and removed all sickness and pain from her life, no longer to suffer. Robbin was always full of life and sunshine. She never met a stranger and brought a smile to anyone she has ever met. Robbin was born in Winston Salem, NC and graduated from Parkland High School in 1973 then continued her education at Forsyth Technical Community College and the Winston Salem Barber School completing her nursing degree and barber license. She experienced life in Winston Salem, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach, and any other place her life led her. She practiced nursing for 30 years and a life long hair career. She was a friend, a lover, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a true blessing. Robbin was proceeded in death by her father, Norman Boles, and late husband John Howerton. She is survived by her daughter, Casey Jade Howerton; two sisters, Renee B. Hunter and Roxane B. Weaver; her mother, Barbara Mock Boles; a niece, Cheyenne Weaver; and her loving dog, Gizmo. She attended Oak Forest United Methodist Church and had affiliation with Victory Front Line Ministries. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
