Margaret Emma Whitener

Margaret Emma Whitener, 72, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully February 14, 2017. She was born March 11, 1944 in Catawba County to the late Louise Fullwood Whitener and William Howard Whitener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bill Whitener and Walter Whitener as well as two special nephews, Alan Whitener and Richard Linville. She is survived by her sister, Betty Linville Howard of Gainesville, GA and sister in law, Carolyn Whitener of Loxahatchee, FL. She is also survived by her nieces, Kathy Spinella, Kim Givens, Dawn Gilley, Kristi Linville, Kelly Faust and Beth Franck and Nephews Jeffery Linville and Mike Whitener. Margaret was a 1963 graduate of RJ Reynolds High School and had a lifelong career at the Royal Cake Company/ Flowers Bakery.
A service will be held Sunday February 19 at 2:00 pm at Hayworth- Miller on Silas Creek Parkway. A graveside service will follow at St. Matthews Church cemetery in Maiden NC.
