Margaret Kirkman Vanhoy

Mrs. Margaret Kirkman Vanhoy, 95, of Clemmons, formerly of Kernersville, has, after 59 years gone to join her husband with the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2008. She was born in Forsyth County to the late William Lee and Addie Hedgecock Kirkman on December 23, 1912. Mrs. Vanhoy is a Last Charter member of Kerwin Baptist Church, which she attended faithfully while her health permitted. She was known for her lovely knitting and needle work. Mrs. Vanhoy was preceded in death by her husband Aurelius Edward ""Buck"" Vanhoy and her nine siblings. She is survived by a daughter Ann Yountz and husband Jerry of Arcadia; three grandchildren Terrie Lewis of Morehead City, Kathy Sink and husband Danny of Midway, and Gerri Hoyle and husband Ed of Reedy Creek; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver Frances Arnold. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday at Kerwin Baptist Church with the Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Kerwin Baptist Church.
