Margaret "Tinner" Beauchamp

Margaret Lorine (Ellis) “Tinner” Beauchamp 80, of Advance, NC passed away June 14, 2023 at Mocksville Senior Living after a challenging battle with dementia.

Born August 3, 1942 to James Douglas and Rosa (King) Ellis she was the youngest of eight children. She was educated and a graduate of the Davie County School system. During her lifetime she worked at Hanes Knitting and Perry Campers.

In February of 1961 she married Roy Charlie Beauchamp, Jr. who predeceased her. 

She is survived by children: Charles Dean Beauchamp of Advance, Patricia (Charles) Shaw of Sherman Oaks California, Carolyn Bright of Advance and Cathy Bright of Lincolnton.

Margaret also leaves to cherish her memory siblings: Mildred White of Clemmons, Ella Mae Linville of Yadkinville, Charlie Ellis and Clinton Ellis both of Advance. 

Along with her parents, Margaret was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Beauchamp and siblings: Ed Ellis, David Ellis and Carrie Sue Smith.

Margaret was a lover of animals of all kinds, at one time even owning a pot bellied pig named Louie, her favorite animals were dogs and that love came from her mother who would take in all strays. Margaret loved gardening and took pride in her beautiful flowers. Margaret had a love of crocheting, teaching her nieces when they were young, and when she entered assisted living would make baby blankets for the staff. 

The family would like to extend our great gratitude to Teresa Carter for her excellent care and guardianship of our mother and sister.

The family would like to thank the staff(s) of Somerset of Winston Salem and Mocksville Senior Living, especially Tina V. (Mocksville) for the care they provided to Margaret during her time there. 

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

There will be a Memorial Service Monday, June 19, 2023 at 1 pm at Redland Church, IPHC located at 137 Baltimore Rd, Advance, NC 27006, with Pastor David Richardson, Jr. and Tim Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
