Margaret Louise 'Lucy' Thompson Simpson

Mrs. Margaret Louise Lucy Thompson Simpson, 94, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Forsyth County on August 22, 1916 to Reeze Ferdinand and Margaret Elizabeth Sink Thompson. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting Company with 25 years of service. Mrs. Simpson was a wonderful cook and welcomed everyone to her table. She truly valued the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Erma, Eva, Agnes, and Ruth; five brothers, Ernest, Zeb, Dallas, and conjoined twins. Mrs. Simpson is survived by two daughters, Peggy Teague Isom and Norma Roberson and husband Ken of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Kevin Teague and wife Penny of Pine Hall, Joey Teague of Winston-Salem, and James and Jeff Teague, both of Florida; a sister, Grace Fulp of Lewisville; a great granddaughter Ashley of Advance; a special nephew, Terry Duggins and wife Gaye; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church, located in Lewisville, with the Chaplain Fred Moretz officiating.
