Margaret Helen Sheff Mitchell

Mrs. Margaret Helen Sheff Mitchell departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, after an extended period of illness. She was born in Rural Hall, NC on September 21, 1929, to the late Bascom and Ethel Sheff. She was educated in the Forsyth County Public School System and retired from Thomasville Furniture Company. Mrs. Mitchell was a life-long member of Saint James United Methodist Church in Rural Hall where she was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Daughter of Isis until her health declined. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her loving and devoted husband, William Belmont Mitchell, two sons; Lonnie Sheff and Samuel (Dixie) Sheff both of Winston-Salem. Three brothers; Mose (Bertha) Sheff, Jesse (Barbara) Sheff both of Winston-Salem and Richard Sheff of Walkertown. A dedicated friend, Jesse Hairston and many other close relatives including grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mitchell will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, March 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Saint James United Methodist Church in Rural Hall by Dr. Paul F. Perkins. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
