Margaret Imogene Parker Manning

Margaret Imogene Parker Manning of Rural Hall, North Carolina, passed away on September 10, 2024 after an extended illness. Born in Banks County, Georgia on December 28, 1930, she was the daughter of Oliver Drew Parker and Ethel Jordan Parker. Imogene spent early years of her life among many cherished relatives in Banks County, later living in Cornelia, Georgia. After marriage to Marshall E. Manning, Sr., she lived the rest of her life in Forsyth County, North Carolina as a devoted and wonderful wife, mother of five, faithful servant of God, friend and helper to many, and lover of nature and of animals. Imogene was a dedicated, active, long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in King, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall, Sr., eldest son, Marshall, Jr., sister, Evelyn, brother-in-law, Ralph, and infant brother, Clarence. Imogene is survived by daughters Carol Manning and Marsha McKnight (Steve), and sons Tom (Cammey), and Stacey (Lawana), and several nieces. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, North Carolina, Pastor Scott Vernon officiating.
