Margaret Estaleen Mabe Macy

KERNERSVILLE - Margaret Estaleen Mabe Macy, 83, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 6, 1930 in Forsyth Co. to the late Roy Branscom and Ester Osborne Mabe. Mrs. Macy was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Irvan Macy, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Sue Macy; and sister, Betty Mastin. Surviving are her two daughters, Margaret Gravett and husband, Chester of Walkertown, Bobbie Wood and husband, Kenny of Wilmington; one son, James Irvan Macy, Jr. of Kernersville; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Claude and Jimmy Mabe; one sister, Onita Nelson. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. David Neese officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
